Lexi Thomas

Lexi Rosalia Thomas, Phographer, on a sandy beach with dunes and grassy vegetation, holding a camera, wearing a black top, green mesh cover-up, and denim shorts, under a blue sky with some clouds.

Lexi is a portrait and event photographer with a big love for storytelling, natural light, and the salty breeze of her hometown — Gloucester, Massachusetts.

I picked up my first camera at 15, right around the time most kids around here were learning to bait a hook or surf their first Nor’easter. Instead of fishing, I was fishing for light — chasing the perfect angle, the perfect expression, the perfect story in a single frame. What started as a curious teen snapping pics of friends on the beach turned into a full-on obsession... and then, a career I truly love.

These days, it’s still just me and my Sony a7 III,  but now I’m out capturing everything from laid-back senior portraits to high-energy sports and once-in-a-lifetime special events. I’ve shot birthday parties for celebrities (yep, real ones), epic block parties in towns all across the North Shore, and everything in between. If it moves, laughs, dances, or makes people feel something, I want to photograph it.

I’ve always said: if it’s weird, wild, or just plain you — I’m in. Want to stage a dramatic foggy lobster boat elopement? Let's do it. Need that one quirky shot with your 90s-themed birthday cake and inflatable flamingos? Say less. I live for the offbeat ideas just as much as the picture-perfect ones.

Growing up in Gloucester taught me the beauty of timing (fishermen know), the value of grit, and the magic in everyday moments. I bring that same spirit into every shoot — whether it's capturing a wedding full of big feelings, a championship game bursting with action, or that quiet little glance that says it all.

Photography, to me, isn’t about being perfect, it’s about being real. It’s about capturing the soul of a moment and preserving it forever in pixels and prints.

If you’re looking for someone who’s equal parts laid-back, up-for-anything, and seriously dedicated to the craft, let’s chat!

“Lexi brings her own personality to the photoshoot but captures the essence of the subject. She uses her lens to capture the spirit of the moment.”

“Working with Lexi was such an amazing time! She was extremely kind, experienced, understanding, and worked within your comfort zone!! In addition to that, she was also experimental and wanted to see how certain things worked out! That's how we got some of the best photos from the shoot! Overall, Lexi is a pleasure to work with and a great person/ friend. I highly recommend her as she is an amazing, inspiring, and growing photographer.”

“I couldn’t be happier with my senior pictures! The whole experience felt so natural and fun, and the photos captured me perfectly!”

— Sophia Ferrara

“Lexi is so kind and passionate about what she does, and the results of her talents in photography have always blown me and my peers away. She’s taken my friend’s senior photos and event photos and they talk for weeks and weeks about how happy they are with them. I cannot not recommend Lexi Rosalia Photography enough. Thank you Lexi from me, my friends, and my band!

For me, Lexi photographed my band playing a concert and she somehow captured the emotion of the songs in the pictures. Despite the flashing, moving, and colored lights that were shining on the stage, the pictures were amazing and crystal clear. I cannot not recommend Lexi Rosalia Photography enough.”
